We built the digital platform behind one of the UK's fastest-growing online clinics. From e-commerce and clinical workflows to a patient mobile app, kwiboo powers the technology that lets PrivateDoc deliver five-star healthcare at scale.
The Challenge
Healthcare that people actually want to use
Millions of people in the UK deal with health conditions they find difficult to talk about. Weight management, sexual health, skin conditions, hair loss. The kind of issues that stop people from booking a GP appointment, or where the NHS simply does not offer the treatment they need.
PrivateDoc was founded to fill that gap: a fully regulated digital clinic where patients could get expert care for lifestyle conditions, discreetly and conveniently, from GMC-registered doctors. But to deliver on that promise, they needed a technology platform that could handle clinical consultations, prescription management, pharmacy integration, secure payments, and next-day delivery. All of it regulated. All of it reliable. All of it built around the patient.
They needed a technology partner who could build it properly, keep it running, and scale it as the business grew.
What We Built
A complete digital clinic, from consultation to front door
We built the PrivateDoc platform from the ground up and continue to support it as the business scales. The system handles the full patient journey: online consultation, clinical review, prescription management, pharmacy dispensing, payment processing, and delivery tracking.
A patient can complete a consultation at 11pm on a Tuesday, have it reviewed by a GP overnight, and receive genuine medication at their door the next day. That seamless experience is powered by the technology we built.
We also designed and developed the PrivateDoc Patient Portal app for iOS and Android. It gives patients a fully interactive digital treatment plan with dosing trackers, progress diaries, milestone celebrations, and direct access to clinicians.
Beyond the consumer-facing products, we provide ongoing Team as a Service support, handling development, DevOps, and platform operations. This means PrivateDoc can focus on clinical care and business growth while kwiboo keeps the technology running and evolving.
